Throughout January and February, Music4America hosted free music theory tutoring sessions led by musically accomplished high school students. These sessions were supervised by an experienced music instructor and was held at an officer's house. Sessions took place on Jan. 13th, Jan. 20th, Jan. 27th, and Feb. 3rd from 7:00PM to 8:30PM.
Our primary focus was on introductory material from the Certificate of Merit testing system, but information from the ABRSM testing system was also covered. Those who passed their CM Level 9 also joined us in teaching other students.
As Music4America is a non profit organization, any net gains were donated or saved for future projects.
