Current M4A math CamPS
M4A has opened a new session under M4A's Mathematics Division dedicated for middle school and high school students in preparation for the American Mathematics Competitions 8 and 10 (AMC8 & AMC10). Running from August to December, this series will be led and taught by Kevin Phongsa, a rising junior, who holds strong qualifications such as being an AIME qualifier or having an exceptional AMC score record. The curriculum includes advanced topics in algebra, geometry, and number theory, and even competition math strategies. Furthermore, students will have many opportunities to practice test questions in different formats. All donations received will go towards future projects by M4A.
Previous M4A math Camps
The M4A Mathematics Division is dedicated to helping elementary school students accelerate in math while also preparing them for the 5th and 6th-grade placement tests. This division includes a total of 9 teachers and TA's who cooperate in a way that ensures benefits for those students. We go on a three week, 1 month, or 2 month-long series of lessons during winter or summer break. Students learn about patterns, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, rates, geometry (such as shapes, angles, area, and perimeter), and data analysis along with the ability to work with word problems based on the aforementioned subjects.
